Oh I watched A LOT of porn before I started my blog. I would find a lot of the porn out there tame that I would then go to a tube site (SORRY) and type in extreme to find something that wasn't boring. Nothing horrific or anything. Extreme sounds bad but porn that wasn't like Vivid porn. I used to prefer Vivid porn because at least I knew there wouldn't be any surprises and nothing diabolical happening. But after I started the blog, I became disgusted by what I found out about the reality of the industry and what many women go through. So then I stopped watching porn. Now I check out the tube sites (SORRY) or the links I get sent in press releases to check out a scene of any new girl out there so I can see what she's all about.

Fiend, you should familiarize yourself with the concept of the ad hominem logical fallacy. Truth is not determined by who is saying it, but by what they are saying.
Note that I'm not taking sides here. This isn't my battle. I once thought that it was, but truly it is not. If the porn industry is doing things that it shouldn't be doing, then that must be handled by the proper authorities. For reasons unknown, those authorities have turned a blind eye towards the porn industry. Perhaps if enough people make enough of a fuss, that might change, but I am very doubtful. I deeply believe that those in power very much like things the way they are. Porn is a wonderful distraction (one amongst many more), and people will fight, viciously and unceasingly, for their right to view it. And those same people will, at the same time and with nary a protest, allow their own government to take their freedoms away and completely destroy everything that their once-proud country stood for.
Darrah, if you want to improve things, you should widen your focus. If the situation in the porn industry is as awful as you and I believe it to be, then you should ask yourself why this is allowed to continue. You certainly won't find answers here, merely speculation. You probably won't find allies here, either. I know that I'm wasting my time here, and I accept that. I'm done fighting for others; they must learn how to stand up for themselves, or they'll continue to be milked for everything that they have and then tossed aside when they're no longer useful.

You haven't heard about obscenity prosecution, I take it? The effort to censor porn is already under way, and it looks as if the porn industry is losing right now. However, that's not what I am getting at. Porn should not be censored. It should, however, follow legal safety standards.
That's all that I'm going to say about this now. I spent a very great deal of time and effort going into details about this topic elsewhere, such as at ADT. I left the FreeOnes forums and I returned here to talk about anything but the porn industry's problems.

With respect to legal safety standards, perhaps you are referring to condom usage? Consumer taste drives condomless porn and attempts to zealously regulate against condomless porn is likely to result in porn being produced by even shadier producers in order to satisfy the market since porn is an inherently "mobile" industry.

Whether people believe that this is a serious issue or not is immaterial. If it is, then the porn industry is looking at some major legal action that will make obscenity prosecution look tame by comparison. If it's not, then nothing will happen.

Okay, this is my last post in this thread (and hopefully the last one about this topic). For the record, there is evidence that anal sex causes problems for a significant number of people who engage in it. But there is simply no question that the style of anal sex commonly found in porn causes problems (rough penile penetration with plenty of friction). Stuff such as "anal destruction" and "painful anal" are even out there, not to mention other extreme activities such as large anal insertions and rectal prolapse play.
By the way, " under California law, criminal negligence is only concerned with the act itself, not with the consequences." The possibility that "Great Bodily Injury" could occur must be established. California's definition of GBI is: " a significant or substantial physical injury." (edit: alt source) I don't know which physical risks of anal sex might constitute GBI; I'm not a lawyer.
See this* or alternatively, this for the physical risks of anal sex. Several of the quotes have data on how common certain problems are amongst those who engage in anal sex. One notes that, due to the fact that the rectal mucosa is delicate, anal sex is "likely to cause some degree of trauma."
* That site is unmaintained and I haven't touched it for almost a year. It's amazing that it's still up on a free host.
