If every half-assed excuse for a porn journalist was allowed to just blithely whisk Mia (or whichever girl) away from the EA booth for 30mins, then it's likely she wouldn't have been found at the EA booth at all over the duration of AEE. Lots of quasi-fanboy journalistic non-entities out there with amateurish websites, blogs, podcasts and 'internet radio shows'.

Sure, maybe if Mia did nothing but interviews over the course of AEE it would be of some benefit to EA, but that's EA's call to make, because they are the ones paying her to be there, and their call was that they'd get more bang for their buck having Mia at the booth rather than doing an interview with Mike South.

It's the Golden Rule...the one who makes the gold, makes the rules. I don't see any mention of Mike South offering to compensate EA for the time Mia was away from the booth...do you?

Your arguement is fundamentally flawed. So following your logic Dan, even when you are on break or lunch you are still on the clock for your employer and at their beck and call - even if you punch a clock.

If Mia was doing an interview during her lunch then EA can fuck off as she was not on their time, but on hers. When any employee, contract or otherwise, takes their legally mandated lunch or break - it's their time.

If anybody is being unreasonable here it's EA for only allowing Mia a 1/2 hour lunch-break when an hour away from the croud (i.e. stalkers) to unwind, catch a smoke, eat, do an interview - whatever - would be considered normal.

Nowhere in South's article is it mentioned that Mia is on a lunch break. My argument stands...sure, no manager at Ralph's/GAP/wherever would give a shit if an employee got accosted for an interview during their lunch break. But if the same happens during working hours, it's a different story.

Of course, if you're correct and Mia was on her lunch break at the time, then that's a different story, and I echo your sentiment that 'EA can fuck off!' if it turns out to be the case. From what I've read, there is no mention of this, and it seems more like a case of Mike South 'borrowing' someone else's paid employee for the purpose of making some money for himself.

If Mike South was paying Mia to be at AEE, then he could decide when and how long her lunch break was...the simple fact remains though that he was not paying Mia, and EA were, meaning it's EA's call to make.

What kind of response do you think you'd get from Vivid/Wicked/DP if you just walked up to their stand and declared that you were taking Stormy/Tera/Teagan/Sunny Leone away for a totally unscheduled lunch and an interview?
My guess is their response would be something along the lines of 'The fuck you are, pal!' or just laughing in your face. Why should EA be any different with the girls they pay to be at their booth?

I should point out, I'm not some EA fan/apologist, but I can definitely see where they were coming from on this one.

If EA weren't letting you have your mandatory required break, then I'm erring towards 'fuck them!'. Seeing as your time was split between two companies though, I can quite easily see them working you in shifts that don't require a break, and your agent maximising their income by booking you with back to back shifts (for different employers), thus negating your entitlement to a break. Next year, break it down to your agent how it's gonna be...i.e. morning shift, lunch hour, afternoon shift.

On the whole though, I agree with Da Burg that this thread needs more Mia elf porn pics...
