A few people have missed the point that Jennifer James wrote eXXXtra, eXXXra around Kurt Lockwood and couldn't let him go. Mike South posts on www.mikesouth.com: Why Jennifer James is Not A Director:
I have been in this biz many years as both Director and Performer. I have worked in mainstream in both capacities, though more as crew than as a Director.
The number one rule for a Director is that you never ever ever let talent run your shoot.
By now you probably know the story, Jennifer invited Gram Ponante and Luke Ford tocover her shoot, Kurt Lockwood had issues with both and after an altercation with Ponante Gram was asked by James to leave, as was Luke Ford.
James says that talent is too hard to replace.
BullSHIT!
She could have had a replacement there in an hour or less everyone in porn has had to replace a performer at the last minute. But instead of maintaining control of her set she let Kurt Lockwood run it. Proving she is NOT a Director, at best she is simply there to make suggestions.
Now Kurt sees his behaviour as acceptable and Jennifer James is spending days defending her actions, actions my ass, she rolled over. Guess what Jennifer...you think this wont happen again? Yer an idiot if you do.
When I invite guests to a set they are my guests and if talent has a problem with that thy can suck it up and do their job or they can go the fuck home.
When Ii am the Director that fucking set is mine and its my way or the fucking highway, I will never be run over by cast or crew. And the thing is my cast and crew always have fun and love working with me....go figure.
It's called professionalism Jennifer, try it sometime maybe you too can be a real Director someday....At least that's the way I see it.

What amazes me is the absolute absence of any sort of censure. It would appear that Kurt's behavior is not in question by anyone. At all.
How freakin' weird is that? That a cast member could go absolutely crrrazy outside and then stroll on-set and not one of the cast thought "Uh-oh... he's in a mood". I can't believe for one minute that the morale on that shoot didn't hit rock bottom after all that shit.

IMO: I think the only thing she did wrong was to invite Gram to the shoot. If she knows that those two have issues wouldn't be best not to have Gram on set. Kurk Kuntwood is unstable and insecure but he's the talent and he's payed to be there to do a job. Having allot of people on set can be distracting and annoying and can get in the way of getting your job done. I just don't see the point of having Luke or Gram there.

Maybe she did make a mistake by inviting Ponante, but that does not justify the scene that Lickwood made. People in every walk of life have to work with people they don't like. Most can handle it like mature, responsible adult.
Kurt don't like Gram, Gram don't like Kurt.
That's cool. Kurt should have did his job, spit out a few lines read off a cue card, inserted dick into chick's three orifices, and should have just ignored Mr. Ponante's presence there(or, if talked to kept a civil tongue with Gram). In turn, Gram should have observed the shoot, take some notes and pictures, and wrote up of somewhat humorous piece about a day on the set of a porn shoot.
Kurt, professionalism. Look it up. Like I said earlier, many of us in the real world have to deal with people we don't like on the job. Most of us don't respond by tearing our shirts off and shoving people around.

It's pretty standard to have journalists from magazines or websites on-set these days, along with a photog who shoots bts pics and posed action shots for the layouts.
If you think about it, it's pretty obvious why sets are open to the adult press: with hundreds of new releases a month, the best way to get coverage is an on-set report in a skin mag or leading website. And it can make a huge fucking difference at both wholesale and retail time if the people you're trying to sell to are aware your product exists in advance.
