I think we at XPT should take the moral high ground from this point.
It's time to start the healing.
I think this appalling act by XRCO will only heap more pressure upon Kurt to appear ultra macho. Unless we now step in and embrace him as one of our own, he can only be days away from demonstrating his strength by ripping up phone directories and pushing nerds around at his local high school.
It's time to stop the hate, people. Like his black lab, Kurt needs to be rescued and re-housed. I think he should become a Moderator here at XPT and usher in a new dawn of metrosexuality and compact SUV ownership.

I personally think that if we (XRCO members) nominated him, and he got enough votes to be in the running, then he should be. We didn't nom him to receive a honorary mention.
If there was a question as to whether it was a serious nom, then XRCO, being a voting organization, should have sent out a note to all members saying-
Kurt Lockwood has received enough noms to be placed on the list of nominees for Analist. Which of the following should we do-
ignore the noms,
put him on the list as an honorary nom,
put him on the list as a nominee,
other
Please check one and return asap.

Let's see if I can clear up any confusion - or at the very least make it even more confusing. So many comments here - so many assumptions Most are wrong.
The XRCO members send in up to 5 suggestions per category for nominations. We add these all up and the top FIVE nominated people are placed on the ballot. Plain and simple. In the case of Orgasmic Analyst Lockwood actually TIED for 5th place but, since there are only 5 nom slots and not 6, and his anal scene(s) were nowhere as good as the person with whom he tied...he missed the cut. I gave him an honorable mention simply because it was such a unique situation.
A few of you took this to be something which diminishes the validity of XRCO noms. It is exactly the opposite: the XRCO has a reputation of being totally honest and non-political. The people the members nominate are nominated; the people who win are the winners. Plain and simple. No hedging. In this case I felt it was worthy of being noted - albeit not part of the actual voting - that his name was suggested by so many members.
And remember: Lockwood was NOT put on the ballot to be voted upon (as some of you believe happened apparently). He was given an Honorable Mention. That is all.
Now of he HAD gotten enough to firmly be in the top 5 - he would have been nominated. But he didn't.
I hope this clears things up.
